Job Summary:


Reporting to the Director of Brand Creative, the Senior Art Director will be responsible for leading creative direction and execution for shooting-focused initiatives, product-focused campaigns, and always-on social media content. This role requires a strong fashion sense and a sharp understanding of the Chinese social media landscape, ensuring the brand stays socially relevant and visually compelling. The Senior Art Director will oversee creative development for PDP & EPDP content, maintaining visual consistency across all channels while bringing a distinct yet globally aligned perspective to the market.

This position is based in Shanghai, China, and requires travel for business needs.

Core Accountabilities:

CREATIVE OVERSIGHT

       Lead and oversee the creative ideation, art direction, and execution for product campaign and always-on content, ensuring a high level of aesthetic quality and brand consistency across all platforms.

       Work closely with the social media team to identify and incorporate social trends into creative approaches, ensuring the brand remains culturally connected and engaged.

       Develop and supervise always-on social media editorial content, ensuring it resonates with Chinese audiences while maintaining its global positioning.

       Oversee PDP & EPDP content shooting and production, ensuring all e-commerce and product display visuals align with global standards while optimizing for the China market.

       Conceptualize and execute China product focus “Weekly” projects, ensuring high-quality visual storytelling in photo and video content.

       Curate and collaborate with up-and-coming photographers, directors, and production teams, identifying and nurturing the right talents. Stay alert to market trends to ensure all assets are socially engaging, conceptually strong, and visually striking.

       Lead the art direction for product-focused campaigns, ensuring consistency in visual storytelling while aligning with global brand strategy.

       The ability to digest and implement the global brand-level visual direction and trends, then effectively localize creative materials to align with the Chinese market while maintaining visual consistency and brand identity.

PLANNING & RESOURCING

       Manage the end-to-end creative production process, ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget.

       Develop creative strategy, ideation, and briefs in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and R&D.

       Oversee and maintain a streamlined workflow for weekly product content creation, ensuring efficiency in execution without compromising quality.

       Ensure resources are allocated effectively across projects, balancing creative ambition with execution feasibility.

MANAGEMENT

       Provide guidance and mentorship to the team members, ensuring high-quality execution and alignment with brand aesthetics.

       Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of the projects.

       Support in team coordination and workflow management, ensuring smooth project execution without overstepping into strategic leadership responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

-        8-10 years of experience in art direction, brand creative, editorial, or related fields.

-        BA/BFA in Arts, Fine Arts, or related disciplines.

-        Experience in the agency side, particularly serving fashion/sports brands. Client-side experience is a plus.

-        Proven leadership experience managing a team of 3+ creatives.

-        China Experience
