core responsibilities

We are looking for an Assistant PR Manager to support PR campaigns, events and other earned-media initiatives in China. This position will be based in Shanghai, and reports to China PR Manager. Through cross functional collaboration, this role is critical to drive brand awareness and share of voice, as well as build equity towards premium positioning in performance categories through compelling storytelling and inspiring experiences.

  • Support to manage dynamic PR initiatives, including global and China awareness campaigns, elevated regional community events, new store openings, and other on-brand media collab opportunities
  • Craft compelling messaging that resonates with press and our guests
  • Amplify the voices of our collective, especially lululemon ambassadors
  • Activate key sports moments of Run, Yoga, Train
  • Build meaningful connections with key media in China, including mass, fashion, lifestyle, and sports titles through daily communications, press events, and other engagements
  • Work closely with the global and regional PR team to ensure broader alignment and synergies


qualifications

  • Around 5 years of experience in consumer PR; sports or retail industry experience is preferred
  • Track records of managing and executing big-scale brand PR campaigns
  • Have a keen understanding of the media and social landscapes in China
  • Strong passion for sports
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English
  • Constant and curious learner; always looking at new ways to innovate in this space
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
