about this team

Our Product Activation Team ensures that awareness campaigns, seasonal product activations, and activity-focused stories are executed effectively across retail and e-commerce channels. This role connects buying and planning with brand initiatives, aligning with key market events and brand calendars to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The role acts as the primary point of contact for product-related support during awareness campaigns, seasonal activations, and activity-focused stories. It leads collaboration with Buying, Planning, Brand, Retail, and E-commerce teams to deliver product plans and works closely with the Brand team on samples to support major activation moments, including but not limited to Brand Awareness Campaigns, Key Activity (sport) stories, Always-On Programs, and Weekly Programs.

 

core responsibilities

1. Strategic Alignment on Product Activation Focus

  • Collaborate with the Brand team to integrate product priorities into the Brand Calendar based on the Product Calendar.
  • Ensure product offerings align with key events for maximum visibility and relevance.
  • Partner with Buying and Planning teams to develop holistic product plans with clear focus and appropriate investment tailored to campaigns, seasonal activations, and activity stories to create impactful guest experiences.
  • Secure alignment and support from the Brand team for proposed product focuses to ensure strong activation backing.
  • Work closely with Buying and Planning teams to guarantee impactful exposure and activation of key seasonal activities. 
2. Launch preparation and execution

  • Coordinate with Brand, Retail, and E-commerce teams to ensure seamless in-store and online execution of product launches supporting key stories, events, campaigns, and programs.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing and Creative teams to bring product activation vision to life, influencing styling and product focus featured in campaigns.
  • Support additional or exceptional sample requests for photoshoots as needed.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Management

  • Maintain strong communication with Brand, Retail, and E-commerce teams to ensure effective execution.
  • Continuously review processes and provide insights to improve future activations.

qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business or Commerce preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, or marketing roles with minimum 3 year managerial experience
  • Good understanding of merchandising and marketing
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Exceptional communication skills—interpersonal, written, and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Self-awareness with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Open-minded and agile to adapt for changes quickly
  • Passion for sports is an advantage
