A day in the life:
Create and manage the China regional merchandising strategy for ACC/Footwear.
Responsible for the successful assortment and selection of assigned product categories, that guarantee growth and deliver our regional sales, gross margin and inventory productivity goals across all channels. 
Responsible for delivering China financial targets by successfully managing the product lifecycle and go to market process of assigned product categories through effective teamwork and partnership with regional planning, cross functional partners in region and collaborating with Global Merchandising and Design to ensure brand and product relevance for China market. Lead and develop the team.

Job Description:
  • Product strategy and assortment architecture that support departmental/divisional merchandise strategies under the direction of total China growth strategic initiatives
  • Influence Global Merchandise strategy through delivering Regional strategic market insights and performance analysis. Identifies new line plan opportunities to deliver regional business growth - China unique needs
  • Responsible for 2 to 5 years forward-looking long-range plan/strategy
  • Partnering with planning partners throughout the seasonal key gates and activities, knowledge of understanding demand & supply management parameters is necessary
  • Drive China pricing architecture for the assigned product categories, collaborating with Global Merchandising and Design to ensure consistency across the brand and relevance for China region
  • Accountable for departmental performance results and achieving financial targets and OKR set under overarching company goal
  • Regional Cross-functional partnership and alignment to bring product strategy to life for all China markets channels
  • People Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for hiring, training and team/individual development
    • Lead self and others to develop the organization
    • Coach and develop a team, direct reports may also manage others
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years merchandising / buying experience
  • 5+ years of related experience with strong management performance
  • Exhibits impactful communication with peers up to SLT level
  • Builds and develops highly effective teams
  • Proven experience in high growth and diverse China market
  • Vertical retail experience required. Omni channel experience highly desirable.
  • Mastery of retail mathematics and Open to Buy
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret multiple data points across numerous channels and market segments
  • Proven ability to work with and lead a cross functional team
  • Excellent sense of style and color trends; athletically minded
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal
  • Entrepreneurship – an ability to make decisions and take calculated risks
