What you’ll do:

Senior Manager, Events Experience, China is responsible for leading the development and implementation of lululemon’s China event strategy; elevating how our guests and future guests, collaborators, press, ambassadors, and partners experience our brand. This role oversees experience design, event production, and all executional capabilities that will support our goal of hosting the most revered and anticipated experiences on the planet. This role will be responsible for end to end deliver of the event experience. This includes sourcing and implementing the technology used for virtual events in close partnership with the digital and technology peers. This role is the point-of-contact for event agencies and technology suppliers. This role will lead the China Event Experience team to concept and develop industry leading event and experience franchises, supporting the regional teams with the production of all events and experiences through content, tools, and operational capabilities.

  • Create transformative, never been done before event experiences in China that ignites a community of people to live the sweat life – through virtual and physical sweat, grow, and connect experiences
  • Build on the successes we have had so far in delivering highly coveted event experiences that have become a brand differentiator in the market.
  • Support execution across all regions in China (Beijing, Shanghai, North, South, East and West) by providing clear and turnkey toolkits, ensuring consistency across delivery including coaching and mentoring in region teams
  • Act as the guardian and gatekeeper of all things Event related, ensuring on brand delivery across the regions.
  • Partner with agencies and technology suppliers to concept and develop industry leading virtual and physical live events and experiences
  • Leverage virtual and physical experiences to support product launches and innovation moments, leveraging tactics that meaningfully connect guests to the brand
  • Leverage a digital first approach where relevant to drive online engagement and reach and activate a broader audience, actively collaborating with the Digital and Technology team.
  • Enhance lululemon’s event production capabilities by leading the development and standardization of lululemon’s event production processes, best practices and tools
  • Oversee centralized services to support the planning and production of all events through registration systems, marketing, guest data analysis and insights in collaboration with cross functional peers.
  • Lead strategic initiatives that support the long-term growth and evolution of our event production capabilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the China events team and support the ongoing development of team members across the regions
  • Manage priorities and resource allocation to ensure that business and brand objectives are being met against the overall marketing and communication calendar
  • Set annual team priorities to support mid to long term business objectives in tandem with the Global team
  • Develop and manage budgets for the Events department and consult on events budget for cross-functional partners

The fine print:

  • An undergraduate degree is preferred
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • 12+ years of experience managing virtual events, physical events, and large-scale brand-defining global live experiences at a purpose driven global company
  • Strong digital and virtual experience acumen
  • 6+ year of leading and developing teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships in a matrix organization
