about this role:
The Director, Key Market VM will be responsible for leading the Key Market VM team across regions in China to plan & implement in-store VM and storytelling experience. Leading a team of regional key market VMs, this role will oversee national wise guidelines for Visual Merchandising, including existing various types of stores and NSOs each year. Working closely with cross-functional leaders, this critical role ensures that our retail stores are a celebration of both product and brand stories throughout the year.

core Responsibilities:
  • Lead planning, visual merchandising layout, and store opening execution of all new stores, revitalizations, pop ups, and seasonal stores, douyin livestreaming channel and all the other new initiatives
  • Manage the regional Visual Merchandising team, supporting and developing the team to drive an elevated level of brand and product storytelling across 200 stores,
  • In close partnership with retail, deliver ~25 new store openings and or optimizations every year, including pop ups and spaces for emerging channels such as the Douyin livestreaming room
  • Champion and continuously update the training materials, workshops and tools in order that forms the framework for retail visual merchandising leads to deliver exceptional in store presentation 
  • Provide active leadership in Area Leadership structure to empower KMVM leads in each Area to contribute and implement VM insights to support landing area business goals
  • Develop and lead a community of retail storytellers (including VM specialist in stores) by challenging and inspiring them to continually look for new opportunities to increase sales through appealing and effective visual displays.
  • Lead, develop and coach a high performing team that delivers into exceptional work whilst staying true to our shared values
qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience leading visual merchandising, retail marketing, retail design, and experience design for a consumer-focused global brand
  • Strong management and leadership experience, ability to navigate multiple tracks of work with tight timelines
  • Proven ability to build and develop high performing global teams that strive for excellence with a heightened sensitivity to visual presentations and design
  • Proven ability to work with and lead a cross-functional team
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and comfortably operating with agility in a fast-paced environment
  • Global mindset with a deep understanding of the China landscape and ecosystem

In-person collaboration and office-based work is necessary and important for this role. Work is performed onsite, 5 days a week, depending on role requirements.
