about this team

The Payroll Manager for China will be located in the Shanghai Store Support Centre under the Finance department, reporting into the Senior Manager, Global Payroll in Vancouver. This is a team of dedicated and passionate people, who are integral to delivering an excellent pay experience to all lululemon employees.

 

core responsibilities

  • Provide insight and guidance as a Leader in the Global Payroll team to help influence and guide the long-term road map for our China pay systems and processes, both internal and external.
  • Oversee, provide direction and act as a reference point for a team of two Payroll Specialists processing both bi-weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all payrolls are processed accurately, on time and in compliance.
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring and support of direct reports, promptly advising relevant other business leaders of payroll issues and working with parties to resolve.
  • In close partnership with People & Culture team and payroll vendors, consistently work to improve pay process, and employee experience.
  • Continuous Improvement - developing audits and balancing procedures and improving processes to ensure payroll and GL accuracy
  • Involved in payroll projects for improvement or business development.

 

qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years people leadership experience
  • Knowledge of payroll/HR, Financial and time & attendance systems such as Immedis UKG, Ceridian Dayforce, ADP Payroll, Oracle, FESCO
  • Good command of English, excellent communication skills
  • Hands on payroll operation experience for China payroll
