core responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated brand media strategies to drive brand voice, share, and equity in the China market.
  • Lead planning and execution of large-budget brand media campaigns across digital, social (with focus on Red/Xiaohongshu, Douyin), outdoor (OOH), and other high-impact channels.
  • Drive innovation in media formats and placements, maintaining active insights into emerging media formats and platforms beyond mainstream social.
  • Own key media partnerships, negotiating with platforms, agencies, and outdoor media vendors to maximize brand visibility and creative impact.
  • Build a dynamic annual brand media calendar, balancing always-on presence with event-driven brand moments.
  • Establish monitoring and reporting systems to track and optimize against key brand metrics: UBA (Unique Brand Associations), familiarity, and consideration.
  • Maintain strong aesthetic judgment across all brand touchpoints, ensuring visual excellence in media creative and placements.

 

qualifications

  • ~10 years of experience in brand media, brand marketing, or integrated marketing, with proven experience managing significant brand media budgets.
  • Hands-on experience with outdoor advertising (OOH), including planning, buying, and creative adaptation.
  • Deep familiarity with mainstream social platforms, especially Xiaohongshu (Red) and Douyin, including platform dynamics, content formats, and media products.
  • Strong understanding of emerging and alternative media formats — able to identify and evaluate new opportunities beyond established platforms.
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation — constantly seeking new media formats, unconventional placements, or emerging channels to break through clutter.
  • Strong aesthetic taste and brand sensibility — able to brief creative teams and evaluate media executions from a visual quality standpoint.
  • Proven experience driving upper-funnel brand metrics, with specific exposure to measuring UBA, familiarity, and consideration.
  • Strategic thinker with strong executional ability, comfortable working with agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset to measure brand impact, paired with creative curiosity.
  • High curiosity and adaptability — actively follows media trends, cultural moments, and consumer behavior shifts.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
