About this role
We are seeking a visionary and pragmatic Senior Production Manager to lead our internal creative production. In this role, the Senior Production Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of all creative work - from brief to delivery.

Meanwhile, the Senior Production Manager will need to bridge the gap between “creative ideal" and “operational reality." The mission is to leverage best-in-class external production resources to enable us to produce high-quality content (video, digital, print, experiential etc.) at scale, on time, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities
Production Experience and Management
  • Truly understand the creative concept and expectation, source the best class production partners to fullfil the production excellence.
  • Manage complex productions across multiple mediums delivering premium and inspirational stories and experiences.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team, and work collaboratively to complete the brief delivering on time and within budget.
  • Curate and manage a roster of external directors, photographers, editors, illustrators, post-production houses, and studios. Focus more on expanding international resources.
  • Onboard, manage and oversee production partners through pre-production, shoot and post production, ensuring clear communication on project needs, and adherence to our ways of working.
  • Always keep an eye on what’s new and up-coming production vendors to inspire the creative partners - directors, photographers, illustrators, motion graphic designers etc.
Budget and Process Management
  • Manage the annual production budget, track actuals against estimates, forecast future spending and identify opportunities for production efficiencies.
  • Skilled at balancing “best in class" quality with “best in class" pricing.
  • Lead the bidding process for large-scale productions. Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and account for scope creep.
  • Identify production opportunities and create/evolve processes that foster efficiencies, drive results and support the growth of the team’s function.
  • Define and evolve the production operating model to maximize efficiency, cost savings, and creative quality.
Project Management
  • Support Creative Operations Director to set up and optimize SOP and work closely with cross function teams to ensure all projects to be delivered on time.
  • Manage project risks by identifying options and impacts, offering solutions to remove obstacles, and enrolling executive stakeholders.
  • Manage production paperwork, contracts, permits, and licensing needs, working in partnership with cross functional teams.
Team Collaboration and Leadership
  • Oversee resource allocation, balancing internal creative bandwidth against external production partners to meet fluctuating business demands.
  • Ability to solve logistical crises in real-time without disrupting creative morale.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years experience in production for both video and print production, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Head of Production, Executive Producer, or Director of Production) within an advertising agency or a brand studio.
  • Shooting experience with celebrity and/or athletes is a plus.
  • Fashion and sports brand experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, multi-channel campaigns (film, digital/social, print) from concept to completion.
  • Proven experience managing big production budgets, including estimating, cost reporting, and SOW negotiation.
  • Good communication skills and well organized working habits.
  • Good command at Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, numbers, keynotes.
  • Experience working quickly and efficiently, and keeping pace in a fast environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and draft professional emails.
  • The ability to travel is required.

Authorization to work in China is required for this role.
