about this team

Inventory Management team delivers inventory plans to inform the appropriate inventory placement and fulfilment strategies across the Region, including channels and stores. The team facilitates the visibility and execution of inbound PO flow into our Distribution Centers as well as appropriate inventory balance activities within and between the channels and stores. The function also provides guidance and facilitates inventory management actions that support topline product performance goals to achieve sales, profit, and productivity KPIs. Our goal is to match demand with supply wherever the guest chooses to shop by having the right product in the right place at the right time.

 

core responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic allocation plans to distribute inventory efficiently across all store locations, maximizing sales potential and minimizing markdowns.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and promotional calendars to create accurate demand forecasts for each location.
  • Define and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and stock out frequency.
  • Oversee daily inventory operations, including the accurate tracking of stock levels in real time across all channels using inventory management systems.
  • Manage the end-to-end inventory allocation process, generating and releasing orders and stock transfers to meet demand including turnover rates and sell through.
  • Generate and analyze key performance reports on inventory health, and provide data driven insights and recommendations on allocation strategy.
  • Lead and develop a team of inventory analysts, providing training and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with Merchandise planning and key cross functional partners to align goals and execution.

 

qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in inventory control or merchandising planning and allocation, preferably within a multi store retail or distribution environment and of which at least 2+ years at Manager or Senior level
  • Advanced ability to drive root cause analysis into actionable strategies
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement by analysing performance data and set measurable targets against business objectives
  • Proven collaborative & influencing skills with cross functional partners and communicate strategies effectively to various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to effectively lead a team towards a vision, and support individuals in their development needs
