about this team

The Event team is a core function of the Brand Marketing team in China, with a sharp focus on elevating an inspired understanding of the brand and product stories that underpin and uniquely define lululemon across multiple platforms. This team is redefining physical and virtual brand experiences in China by delivering events and experiences that are unique and authentic to Lululemon. A critical tool to create buzz in a local market and to raise brand awareness and for guest acquisition, Events is a key lever in Marketing and Communications.
 

core responsibilities

This role is a quintessential member of the Events team. This role will be responsible for a broad portfolio of events throughout the year, from Store Opening events, Product Launches, Press Days, Sweat Life Festivals, and other events to be defined in China. You will ensure that each event resonates with our target audience and is always delivered flawlessly, on time and on budget. You will also develop and deliver turn key playbooks, frameworks and guidelines for Community events and selected regional events, that ensures a level of consistency and quality that is recognizably lululemon. You will also ensure that all events are measured against pre-set metrics and work cross-functionally to deliver.
  • Working in close partnership with the Global team and the China Senior Event Manager, you are responsible for delivering key events in China
  • You will be part of the conception team, crafting a developing the China Events plan and portfolio, putting together the framework, structure and formats that will allow us to deliver into our Brand objectives, with events playing a critical part in the marketing mix.
  • You will work together with each Regional B&C lead, provide an integrated framework and/or playbook for regional execution of events, whether at the region or city level or community events at the store level.
  • You will work with the Digital and Social team, to set up each event, leveraging the Mini-Program as an event registration tool, allowing for each event touchpoint, whether physical or virtual, to be captured and aggregated into each guest’s profile.
  • You will work with the PR and Communications team and or the agency teams, to deliver press and influencer engagement events or Product Launch events at scale.
  • You will be working closely with each region’s event lead, to deliver each region’s event plan according to the region’s needs.

qualifications

  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin
  • Creative yet practical, ability to drive towards delivering oh shit moments; memorable experiences that is unique to the lululemon brand.
  • Proven ability to work on a broad portfolio of events.
  • Proven ability to execute events at various scales flawlessly, on time and on budget.
  • Proven ability to work on partnership events, leveraging events not only as a powerful communication tool, but also as a new guest acquisition channel
  • Must demonstrate ability to deliver both live and virtual experiences, leveraging the latest and most innovative technology
  • Strong ability to work independently, under pressure, juggling multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Bachelors degree or above in business, marketing, event or related field

workplace arrangement
