about this team

The Outbound Logistics Lead supports retail stores and Ecom guests by partnering with DC teams and transportation vendors to meet specific requirements, ensuring on-time and complete deliveries of shipments from DCs to store/guest and return from store/guest to DCs. The position provides updates and solutions to Stores, Retail Ops, EC, SSC regarding timely and accurate deliveries, unforeseen issues, discrepancy or complaint follow-up and cost control, and meets SLA, project and department's expectation by internal and external teamwork. The position analyzes transportation KPI, manages payment to vendors and cost track & trace.

The position shall have good command of domestic transportation operation process, needs to understand system flow between OMS, WMS and TMS.


core responsibilities

  • Monitor transportation flow of all orders from two DCs to stores or guests in China.
  • Coordinate with DCs for shipment dispatch, monitor deliveries from DC to store/guest and return from store/guest to DC on daily basis, follow up shipment discrepancies or inquiries from store/guest.
  • Support Ecom requirements, coordinate with courier vendors and GEC to ensure that Ecom orders can meet our SLA, monitor vendors’ preparation and manange their execution during Ecom events (11.11. etc.), work with Ecom, Tech, DC, etc to support new channel development.
  • Support Retail Operations team and retail stores in all special projects & logistics related matters, new store openings, transfers and returns, Omni-channel related, etc.
  • Optimize operation process and monitor service providers’ site operations.
  • Manage transportation system and database, centralize report, track business trend and dig out reasons behind to update forecast.
  • Track vendors' KPI, improve vendor performance. Ensure actions are implemented successfully.
  • Manage payment to vendors, track and trace transportation cost.
  • Support projects implementation.
  • Complete any ad-hoc task may be assigned by line manager or per department requirements.

qualifications

  • At least 5-8 years of exp. in logistics with more than 1 year of exp. in domestic transportation is preferred.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Experience in supply chain related systems, e.g. TMS, OMS, WMS.
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc).
  • Effectively works independently, initiatively and with minimal direction.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Capability of multi-task management.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to analyze logistics performance, enhance process and cost effectiveness.
  • Growth mindset, enjoying challenges and being solution-oriented.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
