core responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President, People & Culture, China, this role guides the learning programs for our greater retail and Store Support Center (SSC) teams in China. Based in Shanghai this role will work closely with the China Leadership Team, People & Culture Business Partners and Vice President of Retail to strategize strategic learning solutions and priorities to cope with rapid business growth.


A day in the life:

Partner with VP of People & Culture, HR Business Partners, and Retail Leaders to develop and implement learning strategies that address key business priorities for China SSC and Retail

Liaise with global L&D teams to adapt and localize global learning resources, ensuring relevance and impact for the China market

Contribute input into the global Learning & Leadership Strategy

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Learning professionals to design, implement, and facilitate localized curriculum

Support and inform our localized approach to Diversity & Inclusion and to ensure it upholds our global stance

Foster a high-performance culture within the L&D team, ensuring capability building and continuous improvement

Oversee the design and facilitation of core programs that support functional expertise and leadership growth for retail and SSC teams

Enable the Learning & Leadership team to curate innovative learning solutions that reflect market trends and organizational priorities.

Ensure all training programs, projects, and experiences are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards

Establish robust metrics to measure learning effectiveness and provide actionable insights to senior business leaders

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing thought leadership on talent development and organizational learning

Communicate learning strategies and outcomes effectively to influence decision-making and drive engagement


qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related fields

Recommended 10+ years in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Proven ability to design and implement strategic learning initiatives in a complex organization

Strong understanding of the Chinese market and cultural dynamics; experience in retail or consumer-facing industries is a plus

Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior business leaders

Fluency in Mandarin and English required
