About this role

As Asset Protection Director for China, you will lead key areas of our business that are integral to asset protection success at lululemon, which will include retail store security, office security, supply chain security and ecommerce fraud.  This role will need vision, strategic thinking, and a head for innovation where others might not even see it. You will build the vision and shape the future of your portfolio and team to secure our business and add value to the bottom line. You will develop your strategy and advocate for the processes and people to marry your vision with the business need, not just for today, but especially for tomorrow.

·       You will build a vision for asset protection strategy within China.

·       You will protect our business and work directly in partnership with field leaders on complex multi-channel investigations.

·       You will execute a unique and specific vision for your AOR that is aligned with the principles of the global AP strategy.

·       You will be responsible for the technology and development of an analytical framework that predicts and mitigates risk with the goal to protect our business.

·       You will lead your team and be responsible (directory or indirectly) for all aspects of security, safety, loss prevention, and overall well-being. 

·       Assist in strategic initiatives and oversee the successful development & implementation of the major business unit initiatives.

·       Develop and direct a comprehensive and measurable internal and external investigative strategy that supports shortage reduction strategies as well as effectively addressing current theft and fraud trends. Asset protection and investigations strategy.

·       Co-creation strategy for organized retail crime and multi-channel investigations.

·       Head of Asset Protection for China and other regions as assigned.

·       Partner to China business leaders and collaborator with global AP team.

·       Ownership and accountability of all Asset Protection operations in China. Main point-of-contact, advisor and/or decision maker on all matters related to the safety of our people, the protection of our assets, and preservation of our excellent reputation.

·       Provide leadership, coaching and direction to drive AP excellence. Lead and manage a team of managers and a culture built around a vision of security and safety and profit protection.

·       Curate and deliver a global reporting, storytelling, and data analysis strategy all digital investigations.

·       Spearhead the strategic development, implementation and operation of projects and initiatives that move AP into the future.

·       Drive cost control programs (shortage control, security costs, etc.) and deliver financial value to the organization.

·       Provide leadership and guidance to key business partners (director to SVP) on all matters of China risk advisory, security & resilience.

·       Lead and develop asset protection and AP team members.

·       Build a best-in-class profit protection strategy that takes advantage of your team’s strengths and maximize business partner confidence.

·       Imagine and develop a three-, five- and ten-year vision for digital asset protection that includes headcount, technology, metrics, and processes.

·       Own and manage profit protection programs, core technology implementations, and all training + comms deliverables with key partners.

·       Develop innovative ways to add value to the bottom line and impact profitability on a global scale.

Other Core Job Functions:

  • Act as point-of-contact for the safety and security of all offices in China
  • Work with global partners to ensure the integrity of our supply chain

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s Degree and Required Skills & Experience – List the minimum work experience required for the position as well as any additional preferences.

·       10+ years of management experience, including remotely managing teams.

·       Minimum bachelor’s degree with strong preference for candidates with master’s level education. 

·       10+ years’ experience in asset protection strategy, inventory/profitability analytics, fraud prevention and loss investigations.

·       10+ years successfully navigating across multiple layers in an international and/or global business.

·       Industry leading track record for creativity and innovation in security strategies.

·       Strong track record of inspiring teams and building world class support programs.

·       Experience of working in a diverse, fast moving, multinational corporate environment.

·       10+ years’ experience of building and maintaining networks with government agencies including law enforcement, technology vendors, security and intelligence services and emergency services.

·       Experience leveraging technology to drive business results in creative ways.

·       Expert level industry certification and vast network of partners.

·       Experience of vendor management and working with IT and info sec with a track record of productive collaboration.

·       Sound judgement & ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

·       Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively cross-functionally.

·       Ability to influence in the absence of direct lines of authority over others.

·       Excellent time management skills and ability to competently juggle numerous competing priorities.

·       Willingness to travel approximately 20-30%.

·       Positive attitude, highly adaptable, creative, entrepreneurial, demonstrated commitment to lululemon core values.
