As part of the Global Community Team, the mandate of lululemon Gives is to advance mental health and wellbeing through movement and mindfulness. This role is part of a high growth team, developing and stewarding a best-in-class global social impact program.



a day in the life:


Reporting to Senior Manager, Social Impact Programs, the Social Impact Program Manager, China will lead the strategic development, execution, and project management of key programs within Greater China region under the leadership of global lululemon Gives and in deep partnership with lululemon regional teams. This role requires significant social impact and/or employee engagement expertise, strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to lululemon Gives’ vision.



core Responsibilities:

  • Regional Impact Strategy: Lead and coordinate the development of lululemon’s regional lululemon Gives’ strategy for Greater China to ensure alignment with global lululemon Gives strategy, the company’s 2030 vision, Impact Agenda, and identified KPIs for success 
  • Program Management: Manage and execute local and regional social impact programs, partnerships and Ambassador-led impact initiatives across the Greater China region, ensuring that outcomes align to both regional and global goals and KPIs
  • Relationship Management: Set and monitor regionally relevant strategy and portfolio of partnerships in the Greater China region, steward relationships with non-profit organizations and institutional partners, and seek out new impact partnerships where relevant
  • External Awareness: Collaborate with cross functional partners to amplify lululemon Gives to the public, media, industry, and guests, including supporting the execution of impact-integrated regional brand campaigns, community events, activations and guest engagement
  • Internal Awareness: Lead and execute internal awareness efforts of lululemon Gives in the Greater China region, including through regional internal communications channels and events, leadership and cross functional partner enrollment and updates, recaps after key moments, and storytelling
  • Government Affairs: Partner with regional government affairs teams to support local government and community impact initiatives and charitable projects
  • Employee Impact Engagement: Manage Greater China Employee Impact Engagement programming with alignment and support from the global lululemon Gives team, considering regional needs
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Risk Mitigation: Work closely and collaboratively with lululemon Greater China-based teams to embed social impact across business functions, establish key working groups and manage complex multi-partner initiatives. Partner with legal and cross-functional partners to mitigate and minimize risk in social impact programs and partnerships
  • Program Evaluation: Partner with global lululemon Gives team to monitor and evaluate strategy and partnerships against KPIs and metrics
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Advise regional partners on social issues and support with crisis and community response. Provide input to functional units across the company to identify, incubate, and scale opportunities in the areas of social impact
  • Leadership: Provide day-to-day support and guidance to the Social Impact Program Coordinator, China.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. non-profit management, social impact, international development, sustainability, corporate innovation)
  • 8+ years of experience in non-profit management, community-based work, corporate social responsibility or employee engagement
  • 8+ years of experience managing external partner and consulting relationships
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin required, Cantonese nice-to-have
  • Role in based in Shanghai, with associated work authorization required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong cross-functional project management experience, involving all levels of partners
  • Ability to implement grantmaking policies and processes, with knowledge of grant management software and best practices in governance and reporting
  • Proven understanding of the dynamics that exist within funder/grantee relationships, and a commitment to best-in-class community relations
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal - can navigate challenging conversations while being a steward of the lululemon brand and culture
  • Experience in event planning and executing campaigns
  • Fluency across diverse business function areas and stakeholder communities
  • Experience with various cultures and people from all different walks of life
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail, demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Able to work cross-functionally with different departments and at different levels within a matrixed organization

compensation and benefits package  


lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $<<min of zone A – min of zone C>> annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
