about the team

The Event team is a core function of the Brand Marketing team in China, with a sharp focus on elevating an inspired understanding of the brand and product stories that underpin and uniquely define lululemon across multiple platforms. This team is redefining physical and virtual brand experiences in China by delivering events and experiences that are unique and authentic to Lululemon. A critical tool to create buzz in a local market and to raise brand awareness and for guest acquisition, Events is a key lever in Marketing and Communications.

 

core responsibilities

This role is a key member of the Events team, working closely with the Event Manager and Senior Event Manager. The Event Specialist will play a crucial part in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse portfolio of events throughout the year, including Store Opening events, Product Launches, Press Days, Sweat Life Festivals, and other events to be defined in China. The primary focus will be on ensuring that each event is delivered flawlessly, on time, and within budget, while resonating with our target audience. Additionally, the Event Specialist will contribute to the development of playbooks, frameworks, and guidelines for Community events and selected regional events, maintaining a consistent and high-quality standard that is recognizably lululemon. The role also involves working cross-functionally to measure events against pre-set metrics and deliver outstanding experiences.

  • Collaborate with the Event Manager and Senior Event Manager to plan and execute key events in China, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
  • Assist in the development of the China Events plan and portfolio, contributing to the framework, structure, and formats that will drive our brand objectives.
  • Be responsible for centralized production and contribute to the development and delivery of turnkey playbooks, frameworks, and guidelines for Community events and selected regional events.
  • Support the Regional B&C leads by providing integrated frameworks and/or playbooks for regional execution of events, whether at the region, city, or store level.
  • Work with the Digital and Social team to set up each event, leveraging the Mini-Program as an event registration tool, and ensuring that each event touchpoint is captured and aggregated into each guest’s profile.
  • Partner with the PR and Communications team and/or agency teams to deliver press and influencer engagement events or Product Launch events at scale.
  • Assist in project managing each event, ensuring status and budget clarity tied to each event.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and services
 

qualifications

  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin
  • Over 2 years work experience in general, including at least 1 years in event management
  • Creative yet practical, ability to drive towards delivering oh shit moments; memorable experiences that is unique to the Lululemon brand.
  • Proven ability to execute events at various scales flawlessly, on time and on budget.
  • Bachelors degree or above in business, marketing, events or related fields
