about this team

CN inventory control team is responsible for inventory safety and accuracy, create and improve fulfilment processes, operations, and compliance controls, maintain data integrity, reporting and analysis for product coming in and out of our distribution centers in China.


core responsibilities

This role reports to inventory control manager meanwhile need to collaborate with internal and external team such as DC operation, inbound& outbound logistics, retail& EC operation, inventory planning, finance, technology, global inventory control and accounting, etc.

  • Make cycle count plan with 3PL and monitor 3PL counting progress to make sure 3PL conducts the plan followed with requirements.
  • Work closely with finance team to conduct yearly stock take, external audit count, internal sample count, etc. to make sure the practice in China consistent with SOX and company requirements.
  • Monitor 3PL inventory related KPI and work together with 3PL to investigate shrinkage reasons and implement action plan for improvements to reduce company loss.
  • Monitor inventory flow in DC E2E operation processes to ensure inventory handling in compliance with company policy.
  • Timely respond to E-mails such as inventory record checking, status changing and other inventory related requests from cross functions.
  • Continuously dig out improvement opportunities during daily inventory control processes. Actively respond to the business requirements to support business growth. Work together with 3PL to implement the changes into daily operation.
  • Arrange aging& damage inventory exit and rework processes based on business insights.
  • Timely provide accurate inventory reports such as SOX report, scorecard report, other required reports from cross functions.
  • Work closely with global team to exchange inventory management experience, investigate WMS&ERP inventory imbalance issues and prompt respond to reconciliation requirement.
  • Work at least one day in DC per week.
  • Complete any ad-hoc task may be assigned by line manager or per department requirements.

qualifications

  • At least 5 years of exp. in logistics with more than 2 years of exp. in inventory control is preferred.
  • Attention to details. Sensitive to numbers with strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office platform (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel, Power BI and SQL skills are a plus.
  • Experience in supply chain related systems, e.g. ERP, WMS, OMS
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong 3PL management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility. Result driven and can work independently in daily work.
