About this team
The role is responsible for overseeing all DC operations within multiple distribution centers. The Director will lead the local DC operations team to deliver world-class performance and scale the operations to enable business priorities, including growth, guest service, cost improvements and inventory control. This position displays a leadership style based on lululemon’s core values and creates an environment for others to do the
same.

A day in the life
- Closely partner with 3PL to direct and oversee all aspects of Distribution Center, including personnel, Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) and overall building operations
- Drives the operation and supports teams to achieve targeted performance, including growth expectations
- Partners with functional experts to accelerate operational performance, set performance targets and ensure effective product flow through the DC to optimize overall fulfillment
- Works on performance standards for all areas of operations to ensure performance targets are achieved while continually looking for ways to enhance service and reduce cost
- Builds and implements tactical operating plans and longer-term strategic plans to achieve targeted performance now and in the future, including service, financial, delivery quality, and inventory control
- With Fulfillment Excellence, build and implement the tactical operating plan to achieve targeted performance and ensure overall planning remains aligned
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as Inbound and Fulfillment Excellence, to effectively meet and exceed company goals and align with company vision
- Develops and executes plans for inventory control, continual growth and peak season support
- Build-out the facility strategy into a multi-year initiative roadmap and collaborates with key partners, drive the initiatives to achieve targeted results
- Manages the departments initiative portfolio as well as selected initiatives ensuring initiatives achieve expected performance targets
- In partnership with internal team and vendor, identify and implement DC operations strategies and drive continuous improvement
- Analyze warehouse processes, design, configuration, mechanization and automation, making recommendations for improvements that create a more effective and efficient fulfillment operation.
- Partner with key resources to implement and maintain lean principles in the DC. This includes a process to maximize efficiency and accountability around action items

- Partners with Health and Safety and Asset Protection to provide a safe working environment
- Responsible for all aspects of Talent Management within their organization and takes the appropriate partnership with relevant People and Culture Teams across Talent Acquisition, Learning and Leadership, Business Partnering and IDEA to drive successful and compliant outcomes

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree, masters preferred or equivalent applicable career experience
- 12+ years of experience leading multiple teams in a distribution center environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with warehouse management
- Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to manage change, develop, mentor and coach personnel, including experience with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work and deliver in changing environments, under limited guidance while adhering to specified deadlines and budgets
- Strong communications skills with executive leaders in particular
