about this team

Reporting to the Inventory Management Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the right product reaches the right stores at the right time to maximize sales, margin, and inventory productivity. This role supports daily inventory flow, initial allocation for new products, and ongoing replenishment based on store performance, trends, and business priorities. The Allocator acts as a key liaison between Merchandising and Planning, Supply Chain, and Cross Channel Partners.

 

core responsibilities

  • Execute daily and weekly allocation of inventory to stores according to sales trends, store grades/clusters, and inventory targets while minimizing stockouts and overstock.
  • Analyze daily/weekly performance reports and partner with Planning on forecasts and inventory requirements, update allocation parameters and system settings adjustments to reflect business changes.
  • Recommend seasonal merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales and guest experience.
  • Rebalancing transfers and consolidation actions across store and channels to improve productivity for high demand or underperforming SKUs.
  • Track inventory availability and support product launches with Logistics on inbound schedules and issues impacting allocation.
  • Maintain accuracy of allocation tools and system rules on Allocation modules, support testing and rollout of new system tools or process improvements.

qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, retail management, or related field
  • +2 years of experience in retail planning, allocations or inventory management, preferably within a multi store retail or distribution environment
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and inventory systems, ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and drive continuous improvement.
  • Passion for retail, product, and understanding customer demand patterns.

workplace arrangement

In-person collaboration and office-based work is necessary and important for this role. Work is performed onsite, 5 days a week, depending on role requirements.
