As part of the China Communications & Corporate Affairs team, the Internal Communications Manager, China will play a critical role in creating an engaging, inclusive, and connected internal communications environment across lululemon China. This role acts as a strategic connector and storyteller, linking teams, functions, and leadership to ensure employees feel informed, inspired, and connected.


The ideal candidate is open‑minded, creative, and culturally intuitive, with a strong passion for storytelling and employee experience. They will serve as a trusted communications partner to China leadership, including acting as the executives’ voice in internal communications, and continually bring fresh, innovative ideas to strengthen engagement and belonging.


core responsibilities


• Internal Storytelling & Leadership Communications

  1. Serve as a key internal storyteller for lululemon China, translating business priorities and leadership perspectives into clear, engaging, and human communications.
  2. Act as the primary writer and editor for executive communications, including internal newsletters, leadership messages, announcements, and key moments.
  3. Ensure leadership communications consistently reflect lululemon’s tone, values, and culture.

• Employee Engagement & Experience

  1. Design and deliver creative, engaging, and inclusive internal communications initiatives that strengthen connection, alignment, and sense of belonging.
  2. Continuously explore new formats, channels, and storytelling approaches to keep internal communications fresh, relevant, and two‑way.
  3. Plan and execute internal activities, campaigns, and moments that activate culture and community across diverse teams.

•  Cross‑Functional Connector (“Bridge Builder”)

  1. Act as a bridge across functions, SSC, Retail, and other teams, helping connect the dots, surface insights, and ensure information flows clearly and effectively.
  2. Partner closely with People & Culture, Retail Comms, Brand & Community, and other stakeholders to ensure communications are aligned and holistic.
  3. Proactively identify gaps, overlaps, or risks in internal communications and recommend improvements.

•    Channel Strategy & Content Governance

  1. Lead internal content and channel strategy to ensure information is shared in a timely, clear, and employee‑centric manner.
  2. Establish best practices for message prioritization, cadence, and clarity to reduce noise and increase impact.

•    Issues & Sensitive Communications (Internal)

  1. Support internal communications during issues or sensitive moments, ensuring employees are informed, aligned, and supported.
  2. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.

•    Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  1. Lead internal communications measurement and feedback loops (e.g. engagement, sentiment, feedback).
  2. Use insights to continuously improve messaging, channels, and engagement effectiveness.


qualifications


• 7–9+ years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, or related fields.

• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to flex tone across leadership and employee audiences.

• Proven ability to easily understand, synthesize, and simplify complex or fast‑moving topics into engaging communications.

• Strong understanding of organizational dynamics and employee experience.

• Experience working closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional partners.

• Curious, open‑minded, and naturally innovative, always exploring better ways to communicate and engage.

• Experience working in a matrixed or global organization is a strong plus.

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
