About this role
The Store Planner is a critical member of the Product team and is responsible for ensuring that the specific need of each individual store is met, and that merchandising and planning strategies are properly executed. We work closely with our immediate cross-functional partners, Planning, Merchandising, Store Design, FP&A, Real Estate, Operations, and the stores to create the best experience for our guest. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with partners on the process of planning new store projects by ensuring the long-range product road map is driving the new store and optimization strategy while maximizing productivity. Other responsibilities will include pre-season store planning, cluster and localization initiatives, reporting and responding to current business trends and supporting the business through ad hoc requests.
A day in the life:
• Build accurate pre-season and in-season store plans while monitoring and responding to in-season store performance trends
• Partner with Planning, Buying and FP&A to create appropriate store ranking and clustering including using hind-sighting previous seasons to inform future season changes
• Monitor store inventory to ensure appropriate inventory to sales levels and partner with Planning partners to adjust inventory levels as necessary at a store level
• Provide extensive reporting and analytical insights to support In-Season trading, partnering with buying and planning teams to support strategic decision-making to achieve KPIs
• Build, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with members of cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in Retail merchandising, business or finance – or related field
• 3-5 years of merchandise planning or inventory management experience in a vertical or global Retailer
• Strong communication skills & experience in working with multiple cross functional partners
• Exceptional strength with analytical tools (i.e. excel, Access, statistical modeling and BI tools) and data manipulation
• Demonstrate exceptional listening, written, and oral communication skills
