About this team

Inventory Management team delivers inventory plans to inform the appropriate inventory placement and fulfilment strategies across the Region, including channels and stores. The team facilitates the visibility and execution of inbound PO flow into our Distribution Centers as well as appropriate inventory balance activities within and between the DCs. The function also provides guidance and facilitates inventory management actions that support topline product performance goals to achieve sales, profit, and productivity KPIs.

A day in the life:

·        Assess topline inventory unit demand against inventory projections, propose necessary action to ensure strategic targets, including ideal capacity and productivity metrics, are met

·        Guide the IM team to build new stores and maintain existing stores with the optimal level of inventory

·        Lead the product arm of opening & optimizing activities ensuring stores are built in accordance with merchandise and market strategies to deliver results

·        Collaborate with key cross-functional partners to manage the implications of IM forecasts and proposed actions

·        Deliver strategic direction on topline inventory actions needed to support appropriate inventory balance across DCs and guest-facing channels

·        Responsible for facilitating 5-year long-range DC forecasts, including supporting strategic considerations, to contribute to an ideal fulfillment network

·        Partner with Merchandise planning and key cross-functional partners to evolve processes and initiatives in support of inventory productivity goals for the Region

·        Accountable for sales and inventory performance results and meeting enterprise financial targets and KPI's

·        Align cross-functional partners around resources and initiates needed to bring product strategies to life

·        Responible for hiring, developing and coaching a team of leaders to reach their full potential

Qualifications:

·        University degree required

·        China market experience preferable

·        10+ years of experience in merchandise planning, allocations and/or sales & operations planning

·        5+ years of related experience with strong management/senior leadership experience

·        Exhibit impactful communication with peers and up to senior leadership team level

·        Strong capability to build and develop highly effective teams
