As an Engineer, you will work as part of a China team supported by our business and architecture partners to help us collaboratively develop and deliver industry leading technology solutions that drive lululemon’s business goals.

A day in the life: 
As the Engineering Director, your responsibility is to lead and oversee our engineering efforts, driving innovation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technology solutions. You will define engineering standards, provide guidance to cross-functional teams, and make strategic decisions to enhance our engineering capabilities. Your role also includes fostering a culture of continuous improvement, integrating complex systems, and selecting the most appropriate technologies. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving efficiency, scalability, and operational effectiveness throughout the organization.

Lead and oversee engineering teams, including DevOps, QE, Integration Platforms, and Shared Solutions.
Define and implement engineering best practices and standards to drive efficiency and consistency.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centric design.
Develop strategies for integrating complex systems and platforms to enhance the customer experience and operational effectiveness.
Drive the adoption of cloud-native solutions, microservices architectures, and state-of-the-art technologies.
Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among development, operations, and business teams.
Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics to assess the effectiveness of engineering practices.
Manage and mentor engineering leaders and teams, supporting their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 7 years in a leadership role overseeing DevOps, QE, or similar functions.
Proven track record of leading large engineering teams and delivering complex, high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Extensive knowledge of modern software development practices, cloud architectures, automation tools, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Strong experience with system integration, microservices, and developing scalable, shared solutions.
Demonstrated ability to define and implement engineering standards and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
Agile mindset with a focus on delivering customer value and adapting to change.
