about this team

The Health & Wealth Manager is a key player in our China People & Culture team, supporting our Retail teams in all things related to compensation and benefits at lululemon. Reporting into the Sr. Manager, Health & Wealth (China), this role will be responsible for managing compensation and benefits processes across lululemon China


This role will need to work in a collaborative and supportive manner within the China Health & Wealth Team as well as partnering with many cross-functional departments including Payroll, P&C Partners, Retail Operations and Global Health & Wealth colleagues. The successful candidate will work closely with local teams to ensure programs are relevant, compliant, and aligned with both employee expectations and business goals.

 

core responsibilities

  • Work as the first contact for Retail compensation and benefits day to day management.
  • Ownership of benefits design, review and management within market (Sales Bonus, Staff Discount, Life-time Discount, etc)
  • Lead compensation processes including annual operating plan (AOP), market benchmarking, and year-end reviews.
  • Lead ad hoc projects related to compensation and benefits, with a focus on Retail.
  • Maintain and update Health & Wealth policies, ensuring they reflect current market practices and legal requirements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Payroll, Retail Ops, P&C Partners) and external vendors, navigating challenges unique to China.
  • Support system implementations through testing, audits, and feedback loops.
  • Act as a cultural translator between global programs and local execution, helping bridge gaps in understanding and expectations.

 

qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience working as a Compensation & Benefits expertise, ideally with exposure to Retail
  • Experience working in a consulting firm or multinational envrionment is strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytically minded
  • Able to work independently, manage time and prioritise tasks
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills
  • in both English and Mandarin
  • Knowledge of Workday preferred
