As part of our commitment to protecting people, property, and brand, this role leads Health and Safety & Fire Compliance efforts across one of lululemon’s fastest-growing and most operationally complex markets. China’s unique regulatory landscape, high-volume store environments, and guest-centric culture demand a holistic, agile, and locally informed approach.


A day in the life:

  • Co-create and localize training content and strategy that supports compliance, culture, and care across all China store formats.

  • Partner with Retail Operations, Store Support Centre (SSC), and Market Leadership to embed safety into daily practices and team routines.

  • Design and drive initiatives that prioritize well-being, health, and safety—ensuring regulatory alignment with China’s evolving laws (消防法, 安全生产法, 劳动法等).

  • Educate teams on how to prevent risk through smart store design, safe behavior, and leadership engagement.

  • Build infrastructure to support China’s regulatory reporting, including fire safety certification, incident investigation, and employee Safety



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years of experience in Asset Protection, EHS, or Compliance in China’s retail or operational industries.

  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with local authorities such as消防局 (Fire Bureau), 安监局 (Work Safety Bureau), and 劳动保障部门 (Labor Authorities).

  • Proven experience managing health & safety programs, incident response, or crisis management in a retail or multi-site environment.

  • Strong cross-cultural communication and leadership skills in both English and Mandarin.
