POSITION OVERVIEW
We seek a creative and strategic Visual Merchandising & Styling Specialist to drive the execution of China’s
visual merchandising (VM) strategy. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and
implement in-season and pre-season VM initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market-
specific needs. The ideal candidate will blend creativity with analytical thinking to elevate product
presentation, customer experience, and sell-through performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic VM Development & Execution
? Develop and execute in-season VM strategies, including new product launches, mannequin styling, and
sell-through plans.
o Lead the Central of Excellence (COE) project to create weekly VM guidelines, mockups, and best
practices.
o Distribute weekly VM updates and directives to store teams, ensuring cohesive execution.
? Collaborate with MPA (Merchandising, Planning and Allocation) and Key Market VM teams to design
monthly VM strategies that align with product launches and market trends.
? Support the Manager in designing pre-season VM strategies, including floor layouts, fixture planning, and
seasonal storytelling.
Campaign & Event Support
Partner with brand marketing and Key Market VM teams to create VM concepts for campaigns, store events,
and promotional activities (e.g., campaign launch, mark down, pop-ups).
Local Market Collaboration
? Provide VM insights during product flow reviews to enhance visual appeal and customer journey.
? Drive innovation by testing and scaling localized VM initiatives (e.g., gridding, layouts, props) in
partnership with Key Market VM teams.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising or visual communications
? 3-5 years’ VM experience in retail/lifestyle industries, preferably in China or APAC markets.
? Highly developed aesthetic, sense of style and trend.
? Mindful communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal. Fluent in English and Chinese
? Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; Self-starter approach to work, entrepreneur
way of decision making, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more
responsibility
? Strong knowledge of MS PowerPoint & Keynote, ability to use adobe is a plus.
? Willingness to travel (domestic and international) and work on the retail floor.
