What you’ll do

As Manager Brand & Community you are responsible for leading regional Brand & Community team to growing our brand awareness and collective in China, driving desire for our brand and products. You partner with retail leadership to articulate priorities, opportunities and mitigate any risks for different regions, building an annual retail marketing calendar that ensures overall brand consistency whilst also delivering on regional goals. Working closely also with the functional leaders in the Brand Marketing team, you will bring your programs to life flawlessly.

Key Responsibilities

·       You are responsible for delivering our Brand Marketing OKRs in China, delivering programs that support our market expansion & growth plans.

·       Works directly with retail partners (Area Director, Regional Managers) to create annual market community strategies that drive business results.

·       Ensuring the strategy is reflective of what is happening in each region and lives and breaths at the local level.

·       Provide guidance and inspiration to you team as they create and share hyper local community experiences.

·       Drive impactful initiatives that deliver on our brand awareness goals whilst also nourishing our community.

·       Drive new market growth and expansion as well as successful new-store openings by creating sustainable and strategic community plans in partnership with the Regional Managers and New Store Opening Team.

·       Track and measure impact of local tactics and reactive actions (including storytelling, partnerships, guest sentiment, awareness/buzz and traffic) to articulate the results of our local community work.

·       Coach the teams to create transformative relationships in each community.

·       Lead and develop multifunctional, high-performing area teams; build a strong pipeline of community leaders.

·       Drive brand awareness in our emerging markets.

·       Spark word of mouth conversation about the brand.

·       Deliver key business results in stores and online.

·       You own Ambassador relationships and are responsible for the onboarding and animation of ambassador in China.

·       Be a hell yes for China and delivering on the purpose of lululemon in this part of the world.

The Fine Print

·       Bachelors degree in marketing or business related field and 8 years experience in the marketing field (3 years+ rooted in retail field is a plus).

·       Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin.

·       Successful experience in a management position with proven ability to provide direction to other managers.

·       Proven ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with other key decision makers in a complex matrix environment.

·       Strong digital and social media understanding and content creation acumen.

·       Strategic thinker who has delivered results through execution.

·       Consumer experience with a youthful, cutting edge, influential brand.

·       Proven experience developing and driving Digital initiatives from inception to execution.

·       Excellent managerial skills, with a reputation for being flexible, energetic, hard working, inspirational, enthusiastic.

·       Communicates with honesty and kindness, and creates the space for others to do the same.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ms Office suite.

·       Innovative and strategic thinker with data analytical mindset, comfortable with qualitative and quantitative analysis.

·       Ability to travel and able to work independently with minimal direction, seeking coaching and guidance as needed.
