THE ROLE

The Global Procurement team are trusted business advisors who strategically partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to create value and mitigate risk in strategic non-product purchases for the global organization. The team supports the business in increasing its profitability and return on investment by creating value in our indirect supply chain through sourcing and negotiation. From providing category expertise, market insights, cost savings opportunities & developing short and long-term strategies, the Global Procurement team supports the business with their supplier relationships.

Job responsibilities:
The Director, Procurement - International (China, APAC, EMEA) will be based in Shanghai, China and reports directly to Global Procurement VP. This role will support stakeholders in meeting their business goals and objectives. In partnership with business stakeholders, the Director is responsible for the development, implementation, management, and performance of sourcing strategies.
Additionally, the Director will be responsible for building and leading the International Procurement team to deliver value through cost reductions, market insights, strategic supplier relationship management and operational efficiencies. Adopting a people-first approach this Director will provide leadership, mentoring and support to team members and cross functional partners to ensure they understand their roles and interdependence in the delivery of sustainable services. As a champion for IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action), this Director will be responsible for aligning and supporting our Vendor Diversity & Inclusion program.
Specifically, what you’ll do:

•Lead Category Strategy development and execution through a collaborative and inclusive approach that delivers against International strategic priorities; translate China, APAC and EMEA business strategies into effective and innovative sourcing strategies;
•Lead and develop International Procurement team members spanning multiple global regions;
•Support annual productivity improvements in each category of spend by developing and ensuring implementation of ideas to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) for spend categories;
•Bring sourcing efficiency to all activity; define specific roadmaps containing prioritization of sourcing categories and events;
•Build strategic partnerships with internal business leaders to increase Procurement awareness and reach, to build effective sourcing strategies that leverage the fast pace of each of our international markets to achieve business objectives;
•Define and develop risk mitigation and management strategies through Procurement for international regions;
•Lead strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations, linking with the Global Procurement Team as needed;
•Facilitate the contract management process, liaising with legal counsel to ensure agreements are executed.

Qualifications:
•Preferred: MBA, SCMP or equivalent professional designation;
•10+ years procurement experience;
•Experience sourcing non-product goods and services across multiple international regions – China, APAC, EMEA;
•5+ years International strategic procurement experience managing a dispersed global procurement team;
•Deep knowledge of all procurement categories.
