About the team and role

As an Analyst, Planning and Inventory Management for New Store Openings (NSOs), you oversee inventory management and movement for a specific portfolio of stores across China. The NSO team sets up inventory and owns inventory management for new stores. You bring an analytical product perspective into cross-functional work streams, managing inventory needs for NSO projects in a way that maximizes sales opportunities while keeping brand standards, capacity, and visual merchandising in mind. 

Key Responsibilities

·       Forecast and implement opening inventory targets for new stores based on project strategy, sales expectations, and seasonality, setting new stores and optimizations up with the right product at the right time

·       Critical analysis of inventory targets (unit capacity and cc targets) by division and class to ensure ideal inventory set up based on sales plans.

·       Set up Core and seasonal inventory with the appropriate mix based on sales contribution, destination/fixture capacities, minimum presentations and inclusive sizing.

·       Review inventory targets prior to execution including cc targets, inventory depth and mix of core vs. ssnl, by division (M, W, AXS), etc.

·       Manage assortment and inventory parameters in Anaplan including breadth, clustering, FDOD, demand, life cycle, replenishment, etc.

·       Create, execute, and distribute regular reporting for NSO Product Team that identifies trends, opportunities, and risks within the business

·       Manage inventory levels post open; reacting to business and individual store needs in a timely and effective way

·       Run reporting for cross-functional partners such as Merch, Planning & Allocation to enable quick analysis relating to performance, grading, assortment, sizing, location, etc.

·       Communicate and coordinate product activities for openings and optimizations with cross-functional partners such as Store Planning, Planning, Retail Operations, DC’s and Logistics

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Operations, Statistics, Data Science or related field

·       This is an analytical role with lots of numbers, analytics, and systems – someone with a passion for these would thrive

·       Strong attention to detail with the ability to design formulae that proactively validate outputs and reports

·       Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

·       Analytical and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated confidence in creating new solutions to new problems

·       Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

·       Experience with SQL databases, MS Power Query, and a data visualization application like Power BI is an asset
